Day 1   New Delhi

Day 1 New Delhi

Welcome to India. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, Get a taste of Indian hospitality while you enter the hotel by the hotel staff. You will experience the traditional Indian welcome, whilst you complete the check-in procedures. We realise that our guest will be tired and jet lagged by a long journey, so the first day is for you to relax and get acclimatised to the surrounding.

After a leisurely breakfast you will commence your full day tour of Old & New
Delhi. Visit Asia’s largest mosque Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Mahatma Gandhi memorial. Delhi had been a favourite of many dynasties and rulers in the past. Due to this, the heritage and culture of Delhi has influences of various ethnicities. One part is Old Delhi and the other half is New Delhi. Old Delhi is known for its architectural wonders that brilliantly depict the tales of its bygone era. On the other hand, the new face of Delhi has modern infrastructure that talks about the urban delights of the city.

Day 3     New Delhi – Agra

Breakfast will be at Hotel. Later you drive to Agra through the 4 lane Express Highway. Arrive and check in at Hotel. Once a small village on the banks of the Yamuna, it was transformed by two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and his grandson Shah Jehan into the second capital of the Mughal Empire – Dar-ul-Khilafat, or ‘seat of the Emperor’ in the 16th & 17th century.
Late Afternoon, you will be met with your Guide, who will take you for the sightseeing tour of Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday). Taj is built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan to enshrine the mortal remains of his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal.

Day 4    Agra

Day 4 Agra

After a leisurely breakfast Visit the massive Agra Fort which was originally started by Emperor Akbar in 1565, but his son, Jahangir, and grandson, Shah Jahan, later made valuable additions to it.

Itmad Ud Duala - This tomb was built in 1622 for Ghiyas Beg, father of Empress Noor-Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir.

Day 5    Agra – Jaipur

Day 5 Agra – Jaipur

Morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur.

During your drive, you will visit the once seat of Mughal legacy, which is an abandoned city glowing red under the sun, Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city built by the Great Mughal Emperor, Akbar, as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is just 37kms from Agra.

Upon arrival check in at the hotel

JAIPUR – the capital of Rajasthan province is known for its arts and crafts, jewellery, hand-painted fabrics and stone sculptures; it is one of North India’s finest examples of a planned city embodying the best of Rajput and Mughal architecture.

Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 6   Jaipur

Day 6 Jaipur

Today morning after an early breakfast visit the hilltop fortress at Amber. Ascend the imposing fort on a decorated painted elephant.

After the visit on the way back pause to view the elegant Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds. Continue to Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh ll in the 18th century. The City Palace is built within the fortified area of the original city, with one of the finest monumental entrances in India. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 7   Jaipur – New Delhi

Day 7 Jaipur – New Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, check-in at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. There are plenty shopping areas in New Delhi.

Day 8      New Delhi – Amritsar

Day 8 New Delhi – Amritsar

Morning, you will be transferred to railway station to board train to Amritsar. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel for check in (Standard check inn at 14:00Hrs).

Amritsar – Founded in 1577 by Guru Ram Das, fourth Guru of the Sikhs, Amritsar (Pool of the Nectar of Immortality) is considered the centre of the Sikh religion. The main attraction of Amritsar is the Golden Temple, the holiest of Sikh sites.

Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 9 Amritsar

Morning, you will be taken for a half day sightseeing tour of Amritsar. On a half-day tour of the city, visit the Golden Temple, the spiritual nerve-centre of the Sikh faith. Later visit the historic Jallianwala Bagh, which commemorates the hundreds of innocent Indians killed or wounded by British bullets in the most notorious massacre under their rule.

In the afternoon, you will be taken to Wagah Border to witness the retreat ceremony. From Amritsar 35 Km on the road to Lahore (Pakistan), is India-Pakistan border, which is also known as "Attari (India)-"Wagah" (Pakistan) border.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Late afternoon, you will be transferred to railway station/airport to board train/flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel for check in.

Today after breakfast you will be transferred to the International Airport for your onward journey with a bunch of enthralling and mesmerizing memories of your tour.

Unfortunately pollution is a global phenomenon. It is advisable to carry dust masks if you are sensitive to dust or may have conditions like asthma, etc.

Charcoal Tablets

They’re an incredibly effective way of stopping diarrhoea and preventing dysentery (Delhi Belly). It quickly absorbs the toxins or pathogens that are causing the problem and keeps you strong.

Passport Pouch

A pouch to keep your personal belongings like passports, loose money, personal medications, Photo ID, etc. is strongly recommended.

Camera

India is a place of endless eye candy and spectacles that you won’t see anywhere else. Naturally a camera comes in handy.
