Day 1   Bangalore

Day 1 Bangalore

Welcome to India. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, Get a taste of Indian hospitality while you enter the hotel by the hotel staff. You will experience the traditional Indian welcome, whilst you complete the check-in procedures. We realise that our guest will be tired and jet lagged by a long journey, so the first day is for you to relax and get acclimatised to the surrounding.

After a sumptuous breakfast Explore the “The Garden City” you will see Vidhan Sabha, built in the year 1954 is one of the major attraction in Bangalore. The architecture of the building is based on the neo Dravidian style and it presently houses the Legislative Assembly of the state of Karnataka. Lal Bagh Botanical Garden The name Lal Bagh has been given to it for the wonderfully bloomed red roses that remain blooming all through the year in this garden. The garden has also a collection of famous Botanical species.
Bangalore Palace Built in the year 1887, Bangalore palace is a must see tourist spot in the garden city. The architecture of the palace is based on the Tudor style.
Tipu’s Palace The palace and the fort of Tipu Sultan are the must see spot in Bangalore. The architecture, the layout and the overall look of the palace gives you the idea of the ethnic Mughal lifestyle.

Day 3      Bangalore – Mysore

Day 3 Bangalore – Mysore

After breakfast we make our onward journey to the city of Mysore. Later, go out for a guided sightseeing tour of Mysore city. The places you will visit here include Mysore Palace, the Rail Museum, the Folklore Museum and the St. Philomena’s Church. The evening is booked to visit the famous Brindavan Gardens, known for its dancing fountains. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 4    Mysore – Bandipur

Day 4 Mysore – Bandipur

Today we drive to Bandipur National Park (80km, approx 2 to 3 hours), in the afternoon we take a jungle safari. The park stretches over 874 square kilometers, protecting the wildlife of Karnataka, hopefully you will see Gaur (Indian bison), wild elephant and Sambars.

Day 5    Bandipur - Ooty – Coonoor

Morning drive to Coonoor en-route visit Ooty - is queen of the southern hill stations and was a refuge for British Officials and tea planters in Southern India. We will visit the Botanical Gardens , which contain over 1,000 varieties of plants, shrubs and trees including orchids, ferns and alpines set amidst beautiful lawns. On arrival Coonoor check into hotel.

This could be Ooty's twin, but Coonoor with its distinctive charm is different. Mist-clad Nilgiri hills, the bright green of the tea estates contrasting sharply against the red poinsettias and quaint bungalows that speak stories of what this was. It was once home to the Coons tribe, and possibly that's where the name comes from. Famous for its verdant surroundings and for a variety of wildflowers and birds today is free to soak up the atmosphere of this hill station, possibly taking a walk through tree plantations or ride the famous toy train (Nilgiri Mountain Railway), one of the oldest mountain railways in India and a UNESCO World heritage site. From Coonoor to Ooty is a delightful one-hour train journey, which most groups love to take (please be aware that this isn't always possible if there are bad weather conditions or if they have technical problems with the train).

Day 7     Coonoor – Cochin

Today you will take drive to Cochin, on arrival Cochin check into hotel. Rest of the day is free for you.

Enjoy sightseeing tour to the nearby peninsula; discover the remains of Fort Cochin and St Francis church, the oldest church in India. Built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan monks and worshipped by Roman Catholics, Dutch Protestants and the Anglicans is a wonderful site to visit. On your way back stop at the spice shops selling cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and a host of other spices. Evening witness Kathakali dance show – a famous classical dance drama of Kerala, in an auditorium.

Day 9   Cochin – Alleppey (45 mins drive):

Morning after breakfast check out and drive to Alleppey to embark Overnight Houseboat where you will en board the traditionally decorated houseboats, you will start an over night backwater cruise which will end on next day Morning at Alleppey.

Day 10   Alleppey – Kovalam (03 hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast ,disembark the houseboat and travel to Kovalam, enriched with rich greenery of palm fingered bays in secluded coconut groves and laced with golden sands. The boundless blue waters of the Arabian sea and miles of white sands washed away by the surf at the feet of the stalwart pals and the rocky promontories, makes this beach paradise.

Full day relax by the beach. The beach is ideal for various kind of water sports like Kayaking, surfing , skiing and swimming. You may pamper yourself with a body toning massage at any of the centers of your choice .

Unfortunately pollution is a global phenomenon. It is advisable to carry dust masks if you are sensitive to dust or may have conditions like asthma, etc.

They’re an incredibly effective way of stopping diarrhoea and preventing dysentery (Delhi Belly). It quickly absorbs the toxins or pathogens that are causing the problem and keeps you strong.

Passport Pouch

A pouch to keep your personal belongings like passports, loose money, personal medications, Photo ID, etc. is strongly recommended.
