EL CALAFATE The following days will be spent in the frontier town of El Calafate in Argentinian Patagonia. The city sits on the shore of the vast Lake Argentino and is the gateway to the awe-inspiring Los Glaciares National Park. A trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier, in the southern part of the park, is highly recommended.
MENDOZA Mendoza is the wine capital of Argentina and a pleasant leafy city with large parks and an agreeable year-round climate. Spend a few days soaking up the laid back ambience and sampling the region’s finest produce. A visit to one – or more – of the region’s many wineries is a must during your time here. You can even pre-book our full day Mendoza wine experience.
IGUAZÚ Your itinerary concludes with a stay at the breathtaking Iguazú Falls. Listed as one of the ‘New Seven Wonders of Nature’, these falls straddle the border between Argentina and Brazil. For the full experience we recommend visiting both sides of the falls, either independently or on a pre-bookable excursion. From Iguazú it‘s simple to extend this itinerary on to Rio de Janeiro.
